Rafael Sucari, nació en Córdoba Argentina. Es Escultor y Poeta. Realizó estudios de Arquitectura y posteriormente de Escultura en los talleres libres en la U.N.C. con la profesora M. Musso. Así mismo realizó práctica escultórica en el taller de M. A. Budini,y dibujo y pintura con Nora Montes.
Ha expuesto intensivamente desde 1980; obras de su autoría se encuentran en edificios y colecciones privadas y Espacios público: Portal de ingreso del cementerio Judio de Córdoba.Portal de entrada y adyacencias Templo Sefardí de Córdoba.
Residió en tres años EE UU (1998 / 2001), país en el que realizó una amplia actividad artística, destacándose entre ellas su participación en la convocatoria “State of the Art Gallery”, en la ciudad de Ithaca (New York) donde obtuvo el primer premio de la exhibición (Best of the Show). Posteriormente participó en el colectivo experimental “Boxes in (convocatoria nacional U.S.A) Así mismo su obra fue seleccionada para una muestra individual en el “ Yeshiva Museum of New York” el cual conserva una de sus trabajos en su colección permanente ("El Nicho").
En nuestro país recientemente obtuvo el Segundo Premio en el Concurso Nacional de Escultura “El árbol de la Vida” organizado por la comunidad “Amijai” de la ciudad de Buenos Aires.(2005).Paralelamente a su trabajo de escultor, ha realizado una intensa tarea en el campo de la literatura. Esta doble faceta de escultor y poeta han sido eficazmente complementarias, ya que le han permitido realizar diversas actividades tanto en el campo de la literatura como de la plástica, realizando publicaciones, conferencias y talleres sobre dichos temas, investigando la relación de las artes plástica con la literatura, y fundamentalmente, como escultor abocándose a la realización de “Libro Objeto”
Como poeta ha publicado seis libros de poesía (“Poemas para piel humana”, “Del “Sol y de sus Plumas”, “Sésamo abrite”, “Marea Baja” ,“Crónicas de Sefarad” y “Los Elementos”, (ed. bilingüe Castellano-Ingles). Así como diversas plaquetas y libros colectivos: “Al Nearot Babel” (Homenaje a la AMIA) ilustrado por los artistas plásticos Gonzalo Vivian y Edith Strahjman, y “Poetas del Mercosur” en edición bilingüe Castellano-Portugués, publicada por el Gobierno de la provincia de Córdoba. Sus poemas participan en la antología Generación poética del 60’ (Ministerio de Cultura de la Nación. Sel. Horacio Salas.) Y un libro de ensayos y viajes “Cartas en el camino” que recopila los artículos publicados por la “Guía cultural de Córdoba” Durante su estadía en EEUU.

Rafael Sucari , was born in Cordoba Argentina . He is Sculptor and Poet. He studied architecture and later Sculpture in the open workshops at the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba with Professor M. Musso . He also made sculptural practice in the workshop of M. A. Budini , and drawing and painting with Nora Montes .
Rafael has exhibited extensively since 1980. His work can be found in buildings, private collections and public spaces as for example, in the Portal of the Jewish cemetery of Córdoba and the entry portal and adjacencies of the Sephardic Temple of Córdoba among others.
He lived in the U.S. for three years (1998/2001) , where he developed an intensive artistic activity, highlights or this period are: His entry in the "State of the Art Gallery" competition in the city of Ithaca ( New York) where his work was awarded the "Best of the Show" prize; his participation in the experimental group "Boxes in" (a national U.S. call for entries) and a solo exhibition at the "Yeshiva Museum of New York" -which retained one of his pieces for its permanent collection ("El Nicho).
In our country Rafael has recently won the Second Prize in the National Competition of Sculpture "Tree of Life " organized by the " Amichai " community of the city of Buenos Aires. (2005).
Alongside his work as a sculptor, he is prolific in the field of literature. This dual role of sculptor and poet has been effectively complementary, enabling him to perform a variety of activities both in the field of literature and the visual arts, producing publications, conferences and workshops on these topics , investigating the relationship between the fine arts and literature; and as a sculptor dedicating to producing "object books".
As a poet Rafael has published six books of poetry ("Poems for the human skin", "The Sun and its Feathers", "Open Sesame", "Low Tide", "Chronicles of Sefarad" and "The Elements" (in a bilingual Spanish-English edition). He has also published "plaquetas" and appeared in various anthologies: "Al Nearot Babel" (Homage to AMIA) illustrated by artists Gonzalo Vivian and Edith Strahman, and "Poets of Mercosur " in a bilingual Spanish-Portuguese edition, published by the Government of the province of Córdoba. His poems appeared in the poetic anthology "Generation of the 60s" (Ministry of Culture of the Nation . editor Horacio Salas. ). Lastly a book of essays on travel "Letters on the road " that collects articles published by the "cultural guide Córdoba " during his stay in the U.S..
